"No Mr. Obama, no Mr. Biden, both of you are very very wrong. Your decision to support Israel and justify the cold-blooded murder on the high sea is an insult to every American and an insult to the decent and free people of the world. Your demands that Israel investigate its own crimes is like asking Alqaeda to investigate September 11th and the crimes it committed. Sorry no one is buying your sense of logic and your excuses.

What Israel did was wrong deadly wrong and your statements and decisions in the UN Security Council and in statements from the White House, and State Department shows a callus disregard for the lives of innocent people. That when it comes to Israel, America is always on standby, ready to defend, and cover any and all Israeli war crimes and ready to make sure that Israel continues with its defiance of the world community in defiance of the world community.

It is clear by now that the Obama-Biden White House is no different from the Bush-Cheney White House when it comes to acts of wars and cold-blooded murder committed by Israel.

Mr. Obama your logic of allowing Israel to conduct its own investigations of the heinous crime it committed make no sense when Israel is the party that committed the murder and committed the crime. If we are to follow your logic then the US should have allowed Osama Bin Laden and Alqaeda to conduct its own investigation of the horrendous crime of September 11th.

Mr. Biden your logic of calling on Israel to conduct is own investigations also makes no sense and your analogy on the Charley Rose Show of having South Korea conduct its own investigations of the sinking of it own ship, then if we are to follow your logic then Turkey as the victim should be the one that should conduct the investigation and not Israel. If this is the case then the US should allows all of the criminals to investigate their own crimes leaving the government out of such investigation. Of course Mr. Charley Rose missed the opportunity and perhaps for good personal and political reasons and failed to follow up on the statements and logic of the Vice-President.

Mrs. Clinton was even more cozier with the Israeli position when it came to the fact that one of the victims shot dead in the head 4 times and once in the chest once was an American citizen. Of course this is what we as American should expect from our government, double standard when it comes to who is the victim and who are the perpetrator of the crimes. If the victims were Jewish Americans and the perpetrators of the crime was an Arab or a Muslim, then all hell break lose and US will dispatch a team of the FBI, NSC and CIA to investigate the murder and US courts will rule in favor of the victim’s family awarding them hundreds of millions under applicable terrorism acts, However when the victim is an Arab American or Turkish American their lives are of no consequences to the White House or the State Department, especial if the perpetrator of the crime is Israel or an armed Jewish settlers.

The US should take full responsibility for the crime committed by Israel on the high seas. The US has its hands full of blood, the blood of the poor innocent and unarmed victims because the US was and remains a partner with Israel in the siege and blockade of Gaza and bears the consequences of any and all deaths and injuries caused by the criminal Israelis.

One has to wonder when the US will live up to its own laws, to its own moral and ethical values and constitutional standards. It seems that when it comes to Israel all of these valuable issues, where millions of Americans died for are tossed in the garbage in order to satisfy or perhaps out of fear of Israel, its lobby and its sponsors in Washington. I guess we were very very wrong when we believed that “change” would also cover the Middle East. Perhaps now there is a need for tour government and the State Department to reclassify its citizens in terms of faith, and political affiliations. I guess “equal under the law” is tossed out of the window. I guess an Arab-American or a Turkish â€"American are less “worthy” in the eyes of Mrs. Clinton and her State Department."

سيناريو الفتنة

بقلم: فهمي هويدي سيناريو الفتنة بلغ ذروته في الأسبوع الماضي، حين فوجئنا بتجليات للدس والتحريض على المقاومة الفلسطينية غير مسبوقة في الخطاب الإعلامي العربي. (1) صباح يوم 14 أبريل الحالي، كان من بين العناوين الرئيسية لاحدى صحف الصباح المصرية عنوان يقول: فتوى فلسطينية تبيح قتل الجنود المصريين. وتحت العنوان خبر نصه كما يلي: في تطاول جديد على مصر وشعبها وحدودها، وبما يعد جريمة لا يمكن السكوت عليها، أفتى الشيخ عبدالحميد الكلاب أحد قيادات حماس باباحة قتل الجنود المصريين في حالة تعرضهم للفلسطينين.  وجاءت فتوى الكلاب في خطبة الجمعة الماضية (التي ألقاها) بمسجد عباد الرحمن بخان يونس بقطاع غزة. في اطار عملية دائمة من الشحن المعنوي تقوم بها حماس لتهيئة الغزاويين لاعادة اقتحام الحدود (مع مصر) على غرار ما جرى في شهر يناير الماضي. النشر أحدث صداه الطبيعي في بعض وسائل الاعلام المصرية، تراوح بين تعليقات لبعض الكتاب صبت اللعنات على الشيخ الكلاب وعلى حماس التي ينتمي اليها، وبين فتاوى لم تقصر في تسفيه الرجل واتهامه بقلة العقل والدين، واذا كان ذلك قد حدث من جانب بعض أهل الرأي والعلم، فلك أن تتصور صدى الرسالة لدى المواطن العادي، وكيف يمكن أن تسمم مشاعره وتملأه نفورا وبغضا. بعد ثلاثة أيام ـ في 4/17 ـ نشرت صحيفة أخرى على صفحتها الأولى العنوان التالي: امام مسجد خان يونس: اتهامي باباحة قتل الجنود المصريين كذب وافتراء، وفي الخبر المنشور تحت العنوان كلام على لسان الشيخ عبدالحميد الكلاب، الذي يعمل مدرسا للتربية الدينية، قال فيه انه ليس من أهل الافتاء وأنه لم يذكر في خطبته أي شيء له علاقة بالجنود المصريين في خطبة الجمعة التي زعموا أنه تعرض خلالها للموضوع.  ولم ينطق بشيء مما نسب اليه وان كل ما قيل في هذا الصدد كذب وافتراء للنيل من العلاقة الحميمة مع مصر الشقيقة. أضاف الرجل أنه لا يستطيع أن يتجرأ على اطلاق كلام من هذا القبيل، ولا يجوز لأي مسلم أن يفتي بها أو أن يفكر في قتل أخيه المسلم.  وقال اننا ندرك جيدا أن أعداءنا هم الاسرائيليون، أما المصريون فهم أشقاؤنا وسندنا الذي نتطلع اليه ونعتمد عليه. وفي نهاية كلامه تحدى الشيخ الكلاب وسائل الاعلام التي روجت لشائعة الفتوى أن تبرز شريطا يبرهن على صحة ادعائها، أو أن تذكر المصدر الذي اعتمدت عليه في دس هذا الكلام على لسانه، وطالبها بأن تتحرى الدقة فيما تبثه من أخبار، حتى لا تقع في مثل هذه الخطيئة المشينة، التي تقدم خدمة جليلة للعدو الصهيوني. (2) صباح يوم 4/15 حدث ما هو أنكى وأغرب. فقد نشرت احدى صحف الصباح تفاصيل ما اسمته «خطة حماس لاقتحام الحدود المصرية» من غزة. وتضمنت الخطة حسب الكلام المنشور مرحلة أولى تمثلت في قصف المواقع المصرية بقذائف الهاون، بعد أن قامت حركة حماس بتوزيع قذائف هاون عيار ستين، ونشرت ميليشيات تابعة لها على الحدود، البند الثاني في الخطة المزعومة يقضي باطلاق نيران الرشاشات على الجنود المصريين، بعدما أصدرت حماس فتوى تبيح قتل هؤلاء الجنود (لاحظ أن الكلام هذه المرة منسوب الى حماس وليس الى أحد خطباء الجمعة).  البند الثالث في الخطة يتمثل في القيام بعملية التفاف خلف التحصينات المصرية عبر الأنفاق، بالاضافة الى تفجير بعض هذه التحصينات عبر تلغيم الأنفاق، ويترافق ذلك مع تفجير الجدار الحدودي لمنع مصر من صد مجموعات من أهالي غزة تعتزم حماس الدفع بهم لاجتياز الحدود، اضاف التقرير المنشور انه في الوقت ذاته قامت حماس بتجهيز وزراعة ما يقرب من أربعة كيلومترات من الحدود مع مصر بالمتفجرات، على مسافات متفاوتة، لاحداث ثغرة في الجدار الحدودي، في المنطقة الواقعة بين نقطتي تل زعرب غربا وحتى منطقة البرازيل وحي السلام شرقا. في نهاية التقرير اشارة الى أن تنفيذ الخطة مرهون بموافقة بعض الدول العربية (المقصود سورية) والاقليمية (ايران)، وأن هناك اتصالات تمت بين حماس والاخوان المسلمين في مصر لاطلاق حملة سياسية واعلامية وتنظيم مسيرات ومؤتمرات في البلد، لاحراج الحكومة المصرية، ومنعها من صد هجوم حماس على القوات المصرية (!) حين طالعت التقرير الذي أبرز على الصفحة الأولى في ذلك الصباح، لم أصدق ما وقعت عليه عيناي لأول وهلة، فأعدت قراءته مرة ثانية وثالثة.  وفي كل مرة كنت أزداد حيرة ودهشة، حتى رن جرس الهاتف الى جانبي، وكان المتحدث هو السيد خالد مشعل رئيس المكتب السياسي لحركة حماس الذي بادرني بالسؤال هل صحيح ما تناقلته بعض الوكالات بخصوص كلام نشر في مصر عن خطة لحماس تستهدف قصف المواقع على الحدود ونسف الجدار وتلغيم الأنفاق؟.  ولما رددت عليه بالايجاب، قال بانفعال: أعوذ بالله. هذا كثير يا جماعة. والصحافة الاسرائيلية على فجورها لم تجرؤ على أن تختلق علينا أكاذيب من هذا القبيل. ليس لأنهم شرفاء ولكن لأنهم يعرفون كيف ينسجون الأكاذيب، ويميزون بين المعقول وغير المعقول فيها. في اليوم التالي تناقلت وكالات الأنباء بيانا صدر في غزة باسم السيد اسماعيل هنية رئيس الحكومة المقالة تجاهل التقرير، وتحدث عن العلاقة الأخوية والاستراتيجية مع مصر، وأشاد بدورها من أجل القضية الفلسطينية وفي مواجهة المخططات الاسرائيلية الهادفة الى تصفية القضية.  وقال ان ما يعترض العلاقات على مصر يظل خلافا داخل الأسرة الواحدة والبيت الواحد، يمكن احتواءه، ولا يمكن أن يؤثر على عمق العلاقة أو وحدة الهدف والمصير الذي يربط بين الشعبين الشقيقين.  وعبر هنية عن أمله في أن تستثمر مصر مكانتها لانهاء معاناة الشعب الفلسطيني في قطاع غزة، من خلال رفع الحصار وفتح المعابر وانهاء الاجراءات التعسفية التي فرضتها اسرائيل لاذلال الفلسطينيين وكسر ارادتهم. (3) بين يدي خمس مقالات نشرت في الأسبوع الماضي لكتاب بعضهم محترمون تبنت فكرتين أساسيتين، الأولى أن حماس هي المسؤولة عن حصار غزة (أحدهم قال انها حرقت القطاع). والفكرة الثانية أن الفلسطينيين ضيعوا فرص التسوية السلمية التي أتيحت لهم (أحدهم قال انه رغم كل العنف والظلم الذي وقع على الشعب الفلسطيني، فانه أتيحت له من الفرص والمساعدات ما لم يتح لشعوب أخرى في العالم).  ولعلك تلاحظ معي أن الفكرتين تبرئان اسرائيل بصورة غير مباشرة. وتشيران بأصابع الاتهام الى الفلسطينيين، فهم الذين تسببوا في الحصار وهم الذين ضيعوا الفرص الذهبية التي أتيحت لهم، ولم تتح لغيرهم من شعوب الأرض!. لا أعرف ان كان نشر هذه التعليقات بشكل متتابع على مدار الأسبوع مقصود أم لا، لكنني أعرف أن الفكرتين فاسدتان، وتسوقان لبضاعة مغشوشة.  ذلك أن أي متابع للشأن الفلسطيني، اذا لم تكن ذاكرته قد محيت، يدرك أن الرئيس السابق ياسر عرفات حين حاصرته اسرائيل ثم قامت بتسميمه وقتله وهو في محبسه، لم يكن حمساويا ولا جهاديا، وانما كان السبب الرئيس لحصاره وقتله أنه رفض الاستجابة للاملاءات الاسرائيلية، من ثم فان أي تحليل نزيه للمشهد لا ينبغي له أن يتجاهل هذه الحقيقة التي تدل على أن الموقف المقاوم هو جوهر الموضوع.  وأن اسرائيل في محاولتها القضاء على هذا الموقف من جانب أي طرف فلسطيني لا تتردد في استخدام مختلف أساليب القمع والسحق، والحصار والقتل في مقدمتها. حكاية الفرص التي ضيعها الفلسطينيون أكذوبة أطلقها الاسرائيليون في عام 2000، حين كان باراك رئيسا للوزراء وقيل وقتذاك أنه قدم الى أبوعمار حين التقاه في كامب ديفيد برعاية من الرئيس كلينتون عرضا يعيد اليه %98 من أراضي الضفة الغربية لكنه رفض وضيع الفرصة التي كانت بين يديه. وقد دأبت بعض الكتابات الاسرائيلية على الترويج لهذه الأكذوبة، التي انطلت على بعض العرب للأسف، فتلقفوها ورددوها بحسن نية أو بسوئها. شاء ربك أن يصدر بالتزامن مع تلك الكتابات تكذيب قوي للفكرة، في مقالة نشرتها مجلة «لندن ريفيو اوف بوكس» (عدد 4/10) للباحث الأمريكي اليهودي هنري سيجمان الذي يعمل الآن مستشارا للشرق الأوسط بمجلس العلاقات الخارجية الأمريكية. عرض الكاتب في مقالته كتابين صدرا مؤخرا في اسرائيل لثلاثة من الباحثين المهمين، أولهما كتاب «امبراطورية الصدفة»، لمؤلفه جيرشوم جورنبرج، والثاني عنوانه «أسياد البلاد»، ومؤلفاه هما ايديف روزنتال وعكيف الدار والكتابان يؤكدان على أنه لم يحدث على الاطلاق منذ عام 67 وحتى الآن أن فكرت أي حكومة اسرائيلية في أن تقوم الى جوارها دولة فلسطينية في الضفة وغزة. وفي رأي المؤلفين أن تمدد المستوطنات في الضفة لم يكن اعتباطيا.  ولكنه مخطط ومقصود به أمران: أولهما استحالة قيام اي كيان فلسطيني في الضفة، وثانيها أن يصبح نهر الأردن هو الحدود الطبيعية لدولة اسرائيل.  ورغم أن ذلك هو الموقف الحقيقي للحكومات الاسرائيلية المتعاقبة، الا أنها لم تمانع في الكلام حول الدولة الفلسطينية لعدة سنوات، في الوقت الذي تصادر فيه امكانية قيام تلك الدولة على الأرض، وهذه هي حدود الفرص التي يلام الفلسطينيون على تضييعها. (4) فيلم الفتنة ليس جديدا، ولكننا نتابع مشاهده منذ ثلاثة عقود تقريبا. وأزعم أنه مر بأربع مراحل. الأولى تمثلت في ازالة آثار حقبة المد القومي، وتجريح شعاراتها وعناوينها التي تحدثت عن الأمة والوحدة وتحدي قوى الهيمنة واعتبار فلسطين قضية مركزية للعرب.  في المرحلة الثانية رفعت فيها عناوين تحدثت عن آخر الحروب والسلام كخيار استراتيجي و%99 من الأوراق في يد أمريكا، وما أخذ بالقوة لا سبيل الى استرداده الا بالتفاهمات والمؤتمرات. في المرحلة الثالثة استمر تزيين الحلول السلمية مع السخرية من دعوات الصمود والممانعة، الأمر الذي استصحب هجاء للمقاومة واعتبارها «ارهابا» مستنكرا ومرفوضا ـ الذروة كانت في المرحلة الرابعة التي أعقبت انتصار حزب الله على الجيش الاسرائيلي في عام 2006 وفيها انقسم الصف العربي الى «معتدلين» يعتبرون ايران هي العدو، و«متطرفين» تمسكوا بأن اسرائيل هي العدو.  وهي ذاتها المرحلة الراهنة التي ظهرت فيها تجليات الدس والتحريض ضد المقاومة، والتآمر عليها. لا يزال العرض مستمرا. والمقلق والمخيف أن المؤشر يزداد انحناء حينا بعد حين، الأمر الذي لا يطمئننا بحال الى الخاتمة

Israel's killing of 19 innocents with 60 more injured must have maximal consequences Israel impunity is a threat to all Even for eyes burnt witnessing human suffering, there is something shocking, something impossible, about watching Israeli soldiers, armed and in gas masks, fast-roping from helicopters onto an aid ship filled with civilians — journalists, parliamentarians, human rights activists, mothers, doctors — headed to Gaza to break the inhuman siege that keeps 1.5 million people somewhere between life and death.  The Mavi Marmara, carrying 10,000 tons of humanitarian aid, was flying a white flag: a universal symbol of non-violence. It was also flying the Turkish flag, in international waters, giving it status as a sovereign extension of Turkey. Regardless, Israel attacked. For what does Israel fight? Its existence, or the continuance of a regime of collective punishment calculated to destroy the Palestinians? Or are these the same thing? Dead: 19. Injured: 60. Who gave the order? Will NATO react to an attack on one of its members? Simple public murder The right to exist cannot be asserted through murder. The very acceptance of Israel into the United Nations System was — in 1948 — conditioned on the former recognising the equal rights of Arabs, in particular the right of return of Palestinians. Not only has Israel prevented the return of refugees, it took over by force and occupied in 1967 the rest of historic Palestine. From founding until now we have witnessed an unending catalogue of Israeli atrocities. By these countless atrocities, Israel has forfeited any claim to legality — it is moreover a state that refuses to join the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty or consider giving up its nuclear weapons. Gaza is both the world's largest open-air prison and the 21st century's undeclared concentration camp. Everybody knows it. The UN knows it. The US president knows it. Tens of thousands of civil servants in countries across the world know it. The siege is a way of sealing the exits, and of slow killing. It is an atrocity on the same level as genocide. Here every man and woman has a moral duty: inaction is complicity and a betrayal of humanity. All legal rights are with those who attempt to end this situation by whatever means. The Freedom Flotilla is such an attempt: it is a refusal of inhuman suffering. Its symbolism is more powerful than any navy. As such, it remains what it was as it embarked on its journey: a signal of the collapse of the blockade. Where earlier lone vessels tried to reach Gaza, now they go in groups. More will follow. When a thousand ships set sail, what would Israel do? Israel on trial Israel lost the battle for international public opinion a long time ago. None can forget the relentless strafing of a captive civilian population in Israel's last war on Gaza. Who can Israel hope to persuade now? ■ We condemn the illegal, immoral and inhuman blockade on Gaza, and all who uphold it ■ We condemn Israel ■ We condemn Israel's brutal attack on peace activists in international waters. We declare that 700 brave souls, from 50 nations, represent something real that Israeli propaganda cannot erase ■ We mourn the 19 murdered and express hope and solidarity with the 60 injured. We demand of Israel the release of all activists detained ■ We call on all international institutions — including the UN, the EU and human rights agencies and organisations — to declare themselves unequivocally on this latest Israeli atrocity and to work towards ending Israeli impunity ■ We demand an international tribunal to judge all Israeli crimes, past and present. We call on the UN General Assembly to request of the International Court of Justice an advisory opinion on the legality of Israel within the United Nations System given its systematic and gross disrespect of international law and moral authority ■ We support all efforts by all means to free the people of Gaza from their prison and their suffering, including sanctions and divestment against Israel, a general boycott, and the boycott — by workers federations — of all ships going to and from Israel ■ We call upon people everywhere to express their solidarity with the dead and injured, and with Palestinians under occupation, in local expressions of outrage wherever it is deemed useful. ■ We call on all associations, unions, parliaments, professionals and others to endorse this appeal and its demands. La tuerie par Israël de 19 innocents avec 60 autres blessés doivent avoir des conséquences maximales L'impunité d'Israël est une menace pour tous Même pour des yeux brûlés par le spectacle de la souffrance humaine, il ya quelque chose de choquant, quelque chose d'incroyable, à regarder des soldats israéliens armés et avec des masques à gaz, descendre à la corde à partir d'hélicoptères sur un navire d'aide rempli de civils - des journalistes, des parlementaires, des militants des droits humains, des mères, des médecins -  se dirigeant vers Gaza pour briser le siège inhumain qui maintient 1,5 millions de personnes, quelque part entre la vie et la mort. Le Marmara Mavi, transportant 10.000 tonnes d'aide humanitaire, navigait hissant un drapeau blanc, symbole universel de la non-violence. Il navigait également battant pavillon turc, dans les eaux internationales, ce qui lui donne le statut souverain d'une extension de la Turquie. Malgré tout, Israël a attaqué. Pour  quoi Israël combat? Est -ce pour son existence ou pour le maintien d'un régime de punition collective calculée pour détruire les Palestiniens? Ou est-ce la même chose? Morts: 19. Blessés: 60. Qui a donné l'ordre? Est-ce que l'OTAN va réagir à une attaque contre un de ses membres? Simple assassinat public Le droit d'exister ne peut être affirmé en assassinant, et pour Israël, il ne peut être affirmé. L'acceptation même d'Israël dans le système des Nations Unies a été - en 1948 - conditionnée par la reconnaissance préalable de l'égalité des droits des Arabes, en particulier le droit au retour des Palestiniens. Non seulement Israël a empêché le retour des réfugiés, mais en plus il a utilisé la force pour dominer et occuper en 1967 le reste de la Palestine historique. Depuis sa fondation jusqu'à maintenant, nous avons assisté à une série sans fin d'atrocités israéliennes. Par ses innombrables atrocités Israël a perdu toute prétention à la légalité. D'autant plus que c'est un Etat qui refuse de se joindre au Traité de Non-Prolifération Nucléaire ou de se démunir de ses armes nucléaires. Gaza est  à la fois la plus importante prison à ciel ouvert du monde et le camp de concentration non déclaré du 21ème siècle. Tout le monde le sait. L'ONU le sait. Le président américain le sait. Des dizaines de milliers de fonctionnaires dans les pays à travers le monde le savent. Le siège est une façon d'enfermer et de tuer lentement. C'est une atrocité au même niveau que le génocide. Cela revient au même. Vis à vis  à cette situation chaque homme et chaque femme a un devoir moral: l'inaction est complicité et une trahison de l'humanité. Tous les droits sont du coté de ceux qui tentent de mettre fin à cette situation par tous les moyens. La Flottille de la Liberté est une telle tentative: il s'agit d'un refus de la souffrance inhumaine. Son symbolisme est plus puissant que n'importe quelle marine. En tant que telle, elle reste ce qu'elle était quand  elle a  entamé son voyage: un signal de l'effondrement du blocus. Précédemment des navires solitaires ont essayé d'atteindre la bande de Gaza, maintenant ils vont en groupe. D'autres suivront. Quand des milliers de navires tenteront la même chose, que va faire Israël ? Israël en procés Israël a perdu la bataille de l'opinion publique internationale il ya longtemps. Personne ne peut oublier le mitraillage incessant d'une population civile captive pendant la dernière guerre d'Israël contre Gaza. Qui Israël peut espérer persuader maintenant? ■ Nous condamnons le blocus illégal, immoral et inhumain de Gaza, et tous ceux qui le maintiennent. ■ Nous condamnons Israël . ■ Nous condamnons l'attaque brutale d'Israël contre les militants de la paix dans les eaux internationales. Nous déclarons que 700 âmes courageuses, provenant de 50 pays, représentent quelque chose de réel que la propagande israélienne ne pourra  effacer . ■ Nous pleurons les 19 tués et exprimons l'espoir et la solidarité avec les 60 blessés. Nous exigeons d'Israël la libération de tous les militants détenus. ■ Nous demandons à toutes les institutions internationales - notamment l'ONU, l'Union européenne et les institutions et  les organisations des droits de l'homme - de se déclarer sans équivoque sur cette dernière atrocité israélienne et de travailler pour mettre fin à l'impunité d'Israël . ■ Nous exigeons un tribunal international pour juger tous les crimes israéliens, passés et présents. Nous demandons à l'Assemblée générale des Nations Unies de demander à la Cour Internationale de Justice un avis consultatif sur la légalité d'Israël au sein du système des Nations Unies compte tenu de son non-respect systématique et flagrant du droit international et de l'autorité morale. ■ Nous appuyons tous les efforts déployés par tous les moyens pour libérer le peuple de Gaza  de leur prison et leur souffrance, y compris des sanctions et le déshabillage d'Israël, un boycott général, et le boycott - par les fédérations des travailleurs - de tous les navires entrant et sortant d'Israël. ■ Nous appelons tous les peuples à exprimer leur solidarité avec les morts et les blessés, et avec les Palestiniens sous occupation, par  les expressions locales d'indignation partout où ils le jugent utile. ■ Nous appelons toutes les associations, les syndicats, les parlements, les professionnels et autres à se joindre à cet appel et ses exigences. 19 doden en 60 gewonden. Dit is Israël.
De moord van 19 onschuldigen met daarbij 60 gewonden door Israël dient maximale gevolgen te hebben.  De straffeloosheid van het gedrag van Israel is een bedreiging voor iedereen. Zelfs voor díe ogen, reeds verbrand door het zien van alle menselijk leed dat ons dagelijks overspoelt, is het schokkend en haast onmogelijk om te zien hoe Israëlische soldaten, gewapend en uitgerust met gasmaskers en klapwiekende helikopters het vuur openden op een hulpkonvooi vol met burgers - journalisten, parlementsleden, mensenrechten activisten, moeders, artsen – op weg naar Gaza om het inhumane, nog steeds durende beleg, dat 1,5 miljoen mensen gijzelt tussen leven en dood, te doorbreken.   De Mavi Marmara met 10.000 ton humanitaire hulp, voer de witte vlag: het universeel symbool van geweldloosheid. Het schip, onder Turkse vlag, bevond zich in internationale wateren, waardoor het de status heeft van een soeverein gebied en dus eigenlijk tot het grondgebied van Turkije behoort. Zonder hier rekening mee te houden viel Israël aan. En wat zijn de motieven van Israël? Het overleven van de staat Israël of de voortzetting van een regime van collectieve en berekende bestraffing met de bedoeling de Palestijnen te vernietigen? Of is dit hetzelfde? 19 doden en 60 gewonden. Wie gaf hiertoe het bevel? Zal de NAVO reageren en één van zijn leden aanvallen?   Dit is simpelweg publieke moord   Kunnen we het recht om als staat te bestaan, het vermoorden van 19 mensen rechtvaardigen? De uiteindelijke toetreding van Israël tot de VN-organisatie was - in 1948 - onder voorwaarde van de duidelijke erkenning van gelijke rechten voor de Arabieren, in het bijzonder het recht van de terugkeer van het Palestijnse volk en de vele ontheemden. Israel verhinderde niet alleen de terugkeer van vluchtelingen. Het nam daarenboven in 1967 met geweld de rest in en bezette het historische gedeelte van Palestina. Van bij de oprichting van de Staat Israël tot heden zijn we getuige geweest van een eindeloze reeks van Israëlische wreedheden. Daardoor heeft Israël elke aanspraak op legitimiteit en wettelijkheid kwijtgespeeld. Het is overigens een staat die weigert om het Nucleaire Non-proliferatieverdrag te ondertekenen of te overwegen om haar nucleaire wapens op te geven.   Gaza is zowel 's werelds grootste openluchtgevangenis als een niet als dusdanig betiteld 21-eeuws concentratiekamp. Iedereen weet dat. De VN weet dat. De Amerikaanse president weet dat. Tienduizenden ambtenaren in landen over de hele wereld weten dat. Het beleg is een manier om alle toegangswegen af te sluiten en om langzaam te doden. Het is een gruwel van hetzelfde kaliber als een genocide (volkerenmoord). Elke man, elke vrouw heeft in dit geval een morele plicht. Niets zeggen, niet protesteren is bijgevolg goedkeuren. Niets doen betekent medeplichtigheid en verraad aan de mensheid. We hebben pas recht van spreken als we proberen op enigerlei wijze deze situatie te beëindigen. Dit verder oogluikend goedkeuren kan nu niet meer.   De 'Freedom Flottielje' is een lovenswaardige en na te volgen poging: het is een duidelijke afwijzing van dit en ander onmenselijk lijden. Zijn symboliek is krachtiger dan eender welke marine. Het bleef trouw aan zijn doel toen het zijn reis aanvatte: een signaal geven van de ineenstorting van de blokkade. Eerder reeds probeerden alleenstaande schepen Gaza te bereiken. Nu vertrekt men in konvooien. Meer pogingen zullen volgen. Wanneer duizend schepen de reis aanvatten en meevaren, wat zal Israël dan doen?   Israël voor het gerecht Israël verloor de strijd van de internationale publieke opinie al lang geleden. Niemand kan de onophoudelijke beschietingen van een in gevangenschap levende burgerbevolking vergeten tijdens de laatste oorlog van Israël op Gaza. Wie hoopt  Israël nu te overtuigen? Wie is nu nog langer overtuigbaar? ■ Wij veroordelen de illegale, immorele en onmenselijke blokkade van Gaza en allen die deze handhaven ■ Wij veroordelen Israël ■ Wij veroordelen de brutale aanval van Israël op vredesactivisten in internationale wateren. Wij verklaren dat 700 moedige zielen uit 50 landen, iets waarachtigs vertegenwoordigen dat de Israëlische propaganda niet kan uitwissen ■ We rouwen om de 19 vermoorden en drukken onze hoop, steun en solidariteit uit met de 60 gewonden. Wij eisen van Israël de vrijlating van alle activisten die worden vasthouden. ■ Wij doen een beroep op alle internationale instellingen - waaronder de VN, de EU en mensenrechten agentschappen en organisaties - om zich ondubbelzinnig af te zetten tegen deze recente Israëlische wreedheid en daadwerkelijk te werken aan het beëindigen van de Israëlische straffeloosheid. ■ Wij eisen een internationaal tribunaal om alle Israëlische misdaden uit het verleden en het heden te beoordelen. ■ Wij roepen de Algemene Vergadering van de VN op om in te gaan op het verzoek van het Internationaal Hof van Justitie met betrekking tot de legaliteit van het optreden van Israël als lid van de Verenigde Naties, wegens de systematische en grove minachting van het internationaal recht en de ontkenning van de morele autoriteit ■ Wij steunen alle inspanningen met alle middelen om de bevolking van Gaza te bevrijden uit hun gevangenschap en hun lijden, met inbegrip van sancties en een investeringsboycot tegen Israël, een algemene boycot door werknemersfederaties van alle schepen die naar en van Israël varen. ■ Wij roepen mensen wereldwijd op om hun solidariteit te betuigen met de doden en gewonden, en met het Palestijnse volk onder de bezetting, door het uiten van hun verontwaardiging in hun respectieve lokale gemeenschappen en organisaties. Wij roepen alle verenigingen, vakbonden, parlementen, professionelen en anderen op om deze oproep en eisen te onderschrijven. Gelieve te verspreiden en overeenkomstig te handelen. El asesinato por parte de Israel de 19 inocentes con otros 60 heridos más debe tener las máximas consecuencias La impunidad de Israel es una amenaza para todos Incluso para ojos que están dolidos de ser testigos del sufrimiento humano hay algo chocante, algo imposible, en el hecho de ver a soldados israelíes, armados y con máscaras antigas descolgándose con cuerdas sobre la cubierta de un barco de ayuda repleto de civiles  — periodistas, parlamentarios, activistas de derechos humanos, madres, médicos  — navegando hacia Gaza para romper el inhumano bloqueo que mantiene a un millón y medio de personas entre la vida y la muerte. En el Mavi Marmara, que transportaba 10.000 toneladas de ayuda humanitaria, ondeaban una bandera blanca: un símbolo universal de no violencia. También ondeaba una bandera turca, en aguas internacionales, que le otorgaba un estatuto como extensión soberana de Turquía. A pesar de todo, Israel atacó. ¿Para qué lucha Israel? ¿Por su existencia o por la continuación de un régimen de castigo colectivo calculado para destruir a los palestinos? ¿O bien son ambas cosas lo mismo? 19 muertos y 60 heridos. ¿Quién dio la orden? ¿Reaccionará la OTAN ante el ataque a unos de sus miembros?   Un simple asesino público   No se puede reivindicar el derecho a existir por medio del asesinato. El mismo hecho de que Israel fuera aceptado en el sistema de las Naciones Unidas — en 1948 —estuvo condicionado a que Israel reconociera derechos iguales a los árabes, en particular el derecho al retorno de los palestinos. Israel no sólo impidió el retorno de los refugiados sino que en 1967 tomó por la fuerza y ocupó el resto de la Palestina histórica. Desde el momento de su fundación hasta el día de hoy hemos sido testigos de un catálogo interminable de atrocidades israelíes. Debido a sus infinitas atrocidades Israel ha perdido el derecho a cualquier afirmación de legalidad — además es un Estado que se niega a firmar el Tratado de No Proliferación de Armas Nucleares o a plantearse abandonar sus armas nucleares. Gaza es tanto la prisión al aire libre más grande del mundo como el campo de concentración no declarado del siglo XXI. Todo el mundo lo sabe. Las Naciones Unidas lo saben. El presidente de Estado Unidos lo sabe. Decenas de miles de funcionarios de países de todo el mundo lo saben. El bloqueo es una forma de cerrar las salidas y de asesinato lento. Es una atrocidad que está al mismo nivel que el genocidio. En esto cada hombre y cada mujer tiene el mismo deber: la inacción es complicidad y una traición a la humanidad. Todos los derechos legales están con aquellas personas que tratan de acabar con esta situación por cualquier medio. La Flotilla de la Libertad es uno de estos intentos: es un rechazo del sufrimiento humano. Su simbolismo es más poderoso que cualquier armada. En este sentido sigue siendo lo era cuando emprendió este viaje: una señal de colapso del bloqueo. Donde los anteriores barcos solitarios trataban de llegar a Gaza, ahora van en grupos. Seguirán más. Cuando zarpen miles de barcos, ¿qué hará Israel?  Proceso a Israel Israel perdió la batalla por [ganarse a] la opinión publica internacional hace mucho tiempo. Nadie puede olvidar el implacable bombardeo de una población civil prisionera durante la última guerra de Israel contra Gaza. ¿A quién puede esperar persuadir Israel ahora? ■ Condenamos el ilegal, inmoral e inhumano bloqueo a Gaza y a todas aquellas personas que lo mantienen ■ Condenamos a Israel ■ Condenamos el brutal ataque de Israel contra activistas pacifistas en aguas  internacionales. Declaramos que 700 almas valientes, procedentes de 50 naciones, representan algo real que la propaganda israelí no puede borrar ■ Lloramos a las 19 personas asesinadas y expresamos nuestra esperanza y solidaridad con las 60 personas heridas. Exigimos a Israel la liberación de todos los activistas detenidos ■ Apelamos a todas las instituciones internacionales  — incluyendo las Naciones Unidas, la Unión Europea y las agencias y organizaciones de derechos humanos — para que se manifiesten claramente acerca de esta ultima atrocidad israelí y que trabajen para acabar con la impunidad israelí ■ Exigimos un tribunal internacional para juzgar todos los crímenes israelíes, presentes y pasados. Apelamos a la Asamblea General de las Naciones Unidas para que solicite a la Corte Internacional de Justicia una opinión consultiva sobre la legalidad de Israel dentro del sistema de las Naciones Unidas dada su sistemática y flagrante falta de respeto por el derecho internacional y la autoridad moral ■ Apoyamos todos los esfuerzos por todos los medios para liberar al pueblo de Gaza de su prisión y de su sufrimiento, incluyendo las sanciones y la desinversión contra Israel, un boicot general y el boicot — por parte de las federaciones de trabajadores — de todos los barcos que se dirigen a Israel o vienen de ahí ■ Apelamos a todas las personas de todas partes del mundo para que expresen su solidaridad con los muertos y heridos, y con los palestinos que están bajo la ocupación, en expresiones locales de indignación ahí donde se considere necesario.  ■ Apelamos a todas las asociaciones, sindicatos, parlamentarios, profesionales y otras personas a que se adhieran a este llamamiento y a sus demandas.
